The District provides bus transportation as follows:

  • First through eighth grades: pupils residing .75 mile or greater from the school they attend
  • Ninth through twelfth grades: pupils residing 1 mile or greater from the school they attend

To view your child's zoned schools, please view the interactive map by CLICKING HERE and entering your address. Please only list your house number, street and zipcode.

Distances are measured by the shortest street route from home to the closest designated school entrance. Some schools have more than one designated entrance point.

The above applies equally to non-public and public-school students. Bus route information for the public and non-public schools can be found on the District's Parent Portal.   All students will be required to go to location or corner stops.

Please be advised that all students should be at their assigned bus stop 15 minutes before their scheduled pick up time.  Buses will only stop when students are at the bus stop.

A student can only have one legal residence for the purpose of transportation. Childcare transportation is available for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Board policy requirements must be met for childcare transportation to be provided. Transportation for students in 9th through 12 grade is only provided to their assigned bus stop. Students are not allowed to take another bus to go to a friends or a job site.

All Kindergarten students and students with an IEP requiring curb to curb transportation must be met by a parent or approved adult. The parent must submit in writing to the Transportation Department a list of all individuals who are approved to receive the student from the bus.

As of December 2022, the district transports 3,919 students per day and runs 342 bus routes.
